Once collected from your pick-up point, your journey begins with a drive through the Al Hamra Village and Jazirat Al Hamra also known as the living ‘Ghost Town’, a pre-oil era fishing village that has been abandoned since 1968.
Onwards you will discover the Corniche Al Qawassim where you will enjoy stunning water views before heading to one of Ras Al Khaimah’s most scenic locations, the Dhayah Fort, which played a major role in the history of the UAE. You will have the opportunity to hike to its peak where you will experience one of the most breathtaking 360 degree vistas of the Jais Mountains and Arabian Peninsula.
You will visit the RAK Heritage Mohammed Bin Salim Mosque before continuing to the RAK National Museum, a fort that was the residence of the ruling royal family until the early 1960s. Within the museum you will see artifacts from archeological digs in the area, including Julfar, an important port between the 14th and 17th centuries.
Last but not least, a drive through the fish market to explore the Old Souk where one will find everything from ancient Arabian handicrafts to day-to-day useful items.
